suggest: ipad with 4g vs mefi for person w/o internet?

hi guys, trying dump ripoff comcast. thinking using ipad 4g tethering additional laptop or perhaps going verizon mefi device.

have experience either of these options? don't need more gb or 2 month...
 

might ipad w/tethering, unless money front issue.

ATV3 5.1 channel ?

no service after redsnow jailbreaking
