2011 iMac 27 SSD in optical bay question...

hi,

added ssd optical bay of new macbook pro , i'm impressed result. so imac feels sorely lacking due hdd drive.

confirm...

12.7mm optical caddy (off ebay) + crucial ssd work fine?

i've read through guides reaching spare sata connector , looks work me. never use superdrive i'm happy lose sake of easy install. want replicate did macbook, i.e. leave hdd in place storage , put bootable ssd optical bay.

thats approach took imac & ocz vertex 2. disassembling imac kind of sucked, cheapest way , @ least doesn't involve removing mainboard.

since swapped optical drive in , connected ssd via thunderbolt - part of in preparation taking computer applecare, don't think i'm going reinstall ssd internally.

ATV3 5.1 channel ?

no service after redsnow jailbreaking
