Owners: how bad are the lag issues on the Retina MB Pro?

considering buying macbook pro retina display.
question owners of this: on macrumors, read this, discussing how retina mbp pushing it's graphics limits.
how of problem finding this? noticeable?
also, brain boxes:
if graphics card , onboard graphics on cpu working full pelt, imply life of these cpu sections / chips decreased?

in all, asking is, enough of reason advise buy non-retina model rather retina one?

ATV3 5.1 channel ?
